These include: pumpkin, butternut, cucumber, peppers, lettuce, cabbage, beans, gemsquash, cauliflower, hubbard squash, Crown Prince pumpkin, baby marrow. This is the mainstay of many daily meals and diets. Vegetables can be cooked or eaten raw. Dietary guidelines recommends 3 - 5 servings of vegetables daily. Vegetables contain fibre, vitamin A, K, B6, pro-vitamins, dietary minerals and carbohydrates. Cabbage, lettuce and broccoli are the most popular vegetables.
